Anything you have ever wanted or needed in life, your grandma has probably bought it for you. Grandmas are just the best. They spoil you rotten and would never visit empty-handed. However, with age, their gifts can become somewhat less fun and more hysterically shocking. Whether they are doing it intentionally or are completely naive about what interests the youth of today, you are about to see photos of gifts from grandmas who win the award of worst gift givers. Take the time to read the hysterical stories that their grandchildren have described along with them. We can guarantee you that these pictures will make you appreciate your own grandma’s gifts even more.
Friend Zone
No one spoils you better than your grandma. Whatever the occasion, they give the best gifts. However, with age, some of these gifts are a little out of touch with what we want or perhaps grandma is “pulling the wool over your eyes.”

When Jen finally Jen plucked up the courage to tell her traditional grandma that she was moving in with her boyfriend, her grandma gave her a gift she felt would keep the young couple just friends until marriage.
Winter Is Coming
Adrian asked for a helmet for his birthday as he was super interested in medieval warfare. Furthermore, his obsession with Game of Thrones had reached new heights and he wanted to look ready for the new season.

Not knowing too much about the show or concept, Adrian’s grandma wanted to give her grandson more than just a helmet. Instead of buying, she knitted this awesome number that, believe it or not, made Adrian the envy of all his mates.
Sharing Is Caring
Grandma Jones was fed up with buying presents. She was not feeling the impersonal touch of them and wanted that same warm feeling her grandmother felt when giving hand-made presents to her.

Therefore, she decided to do what she knows best and knit. Grandma Jones knitted a scarf for all of her 17 grandchildren, but the outcome wasn’t so practical. “Thanks grandma J,” said Toby trying on the scarf, “But I didn’t know we would all have to share it!”
Let Me Take A Selfie
Older people take a while getting to grips with new technology. Sending picture messages, for example, can now be done instantly and delivered within seconds.

This grandma, however, did not quite understand the concept and rather than sending her selfie by instant message, she printed it off and sent it in the mail to her granddaughter. It must have been the slowest picture message to be received since smartphones were invented. At least she knows what a selfie is!
In With The Kids
Molly’s grandmother likes to stay young and cool. She regularly updates her Facebook status and is constantly on Urban Dictionary seeking what new lingo the youth are using these days.

Much to Molly’s embarrassment, her grandma has not quite hit the nail on the head yet and for her birthday, her family welcomed her with these funky t-shirts planned out by grandma. Looking at Molly’s face, we don’t think grandma is going to win “grandma of the year” award this time around.
X Hits The (Wrong) Spot
Saul’s grandma promised him an Xbox for his birthday. Going on a whim she set out to the shops in search of this “box type of gaming thing with an X.”

Dodgy Ronny from down the market knew just how to help this little old lady and presented her with this “top of the range X-BOX.” You can just imagine poor Saul’s disappointment as he opened up his gift to see this lousy device. What even is it?!
Keeping It Catholic
There is no better gift in a grandma’s eyes than the one of religion and faith. When Gwen wanted to give her granddaughter a house warming present, she knew just what bible quote would follow suit with the idea.

There is no better way to complete the frame than with a picture of herself. So not only is the Lord watching over her house, but Grandma Gwen is too! Be careful what you get up to, she doesn’t look like the sort you’d want to mess with.
Is It Gucci? No, It’s Grandma
It was Joe’s 25th birthday and his fashionista grandma decided to make him an eye-catching, starry-sky safari waistcoat that she figured would suit her grandson well, knowing he likes animals and camping.

Given that Joe was going to be hitting the town’s clubs and bars with his mates to celebrate the big day, she thought this was just the right thing to compliment his outfit. Looks like Joe thought so too – work that camera!
50 Shades Of Grandma
It seemed as though the message got lost in translation when Becky’s mother asked her grandma to fetch some tape for her arts and crafts project.

When Becky’s mom caught sight of the gift before her grandma handed it to her, she told her mom, “This wasn’t what I had in mind…” Becky’s grandma innocently responded, “But the guy at the store said it was the fun kind.” Unfortunately, Becky did not get the tape, but her mom certainly benefitted from it.
#TwinningGoals
Sleepovers at grandma’s house are the best. A fully stocked fridge, the heating on full blast, and unlimited amounts of attention and love. Nothing makes you feel more at home than having some fresh nightwear laid out for you when you arrive too.

Unfortunately for this grandson, it was washing day and his grandma had picked him out something a little less gender neutral. It was as if he was the granddaughter she never had. Hey, at least they are matching. Cute!
I Heart My Grandson
This is a picture of Brody Jonas Dean (AKA B.J.D). It was not his birthday, Christmas, or any other special occasion when his grandma bought him this T-shirt.

She just simply saw it and thought it was so wonderful that it had her grandson’s initials on that she just had to buy it. It is funny to believe that she thought it was just a coincidence, but we think she knew exactly what she was doing when she purchased it.
It All Makes Sense Now
When Dave told his grandma he liked kittens, he did not think about the repercussions that were to follow. When his grandma later asked him, “Do you like dungarees?” and “Do you like being incredibly embarrassed in public?” he was completely lost.

However, it all made sense to him when this blue gem arrived in the post. We are not sure what Dave did to deserve this but we think his grandma showed him who is boss.
G To The Ma
This grandma, or should we say G-ma, is showing so much attitude that the G must stand for “gangster.” When Grandma Betty couldn’t think what to get her grandson she thought out of the box and decided this would be a great way to remember her forever, even when she’s gone.

Improvising with her great-granddaughter’s stickers, she customized the picture. With so much thought put into it, no one could argue the greatness of this gift, could they?
Gran My Ride
When Kacey told her gran she bought herself a new jeep, her gran decided to find her a cute accessory to complete her new set of wheels so she could stand out from the crowd.

Except Kacey had to hide her disappointment when she received this knitted back wheel cover. Ok, she will certainly stand out from the crowd in traffic, but not for the reasons she hoped. Kacey is still counting down the days until she can afford to change her ride.
Nose Warmer
The last thing a grandma wants is her grandson to be cold. “Wrap up warm,” is a common phrase that has been engraved into grandmas all around the world. Jake’s 94-year-old great-grandma made this for him to keep his cute little button nose warm because she said it was too cold.

However, what she failed to remember is that he lives in Florida and it was around 80º outside. If it is any consolation, this is a super great invention and we would like to make an order!
The Sneaky Grandma
“My grandma handed me a towel as a gift and told me she made it…” You can almost hear the disappointment in Mike’s voice. The picture below pretty much sums up how sneaky Mike’s grandma is as she clearly told a little white lie to her grandson for brownie points.

Sorry Mike, all we can tell you is perhaps she did make it and attached the tag on herself, ever think about that?
You Snooze You Lose
Eager Daniel couldn’t wait till Christmas day, despite being in his mid-30s, and opened his present from Grandma a little too early. However, it wasn’t until he opened it that he realized his grandma messed up and it was likely a gift intended for one of his girl cousins.

“You snooze you lose,” thought Daniel who didn’t care that he opened the wrong gift and the soft dressing gown was just too cozy to resist. It also brought out the blue in his eyes.
Where Does The HDMI Cable Go?
You don’t get unless you ask. However, for some, maybe it is best to never ask in the first place. Knowing his grandma had an old TV lying around in the basement, Dave kindly asked her if he could have it as he wanted to play some video games in his room without bothering his parents.

Eventually, being the devoted grandson that he was, his grandma felt he deserved it. This is what she handed him…
Don’t Mess With The Elderly
When asked what she wanted for Christmas, Claudia had no idea what to pick. So instead, as a joke, she told her grandma that she wanted 100 things from the dollar store.

Whether or not that’s better than one big present for $100, you be the judge. Evidently, this grandma does not like to be messed with and she spread 100 presents wrapped neatly on the floor in front of Claudia’s face, smirking, as she tucked into her egg roll.
Keeping Up With The Kids
Grandmas are renowned for having a passion for knitting or sewing, so much so that they would spend hours making quilts for those nearest and dearest to their hearts.

While most go for patches of different materials, this grandma made sure to represent her grandson as the coolest g-ma in town. She made her grandson a Mario Kart quilt. Is it too hurtful to let her know she forgot the ‘M’ on his hat?
Time For An Eye Test, Gran
This grandma knew her grandson was a fan of fast food and wanted to treat him to this delightful T-shirt with the “golden arches” as a little gimmick present.

Unfortunately, her eyesight had recently taken a turn for the worse and she couldn’t make out what this graphic was actually showing, or she could and this was all one big joke. Either way, this poor kid will never be able to enjoy a Happy Meal again.
Subliminal Messages
Jeff’s grandma saw this T-shirt and immediately thought of her grandson. However, we are almost certain that his grandma didn’t understand the highly suggestive message on it – or so we hope!

Perhaps her grandson is a keen soccer player and she knows that he can be picky about which type of playing field he plays on or he is an OCD gardener. We really hope that one of these is the reason she went ahead and bought this shocking shirt.
Grand-Marley
It is a very grandma-ly thing to do to buy your grandson a onesie for Christmas, yet this grandma is in no denial about what her grandson is really interested in.

All things Bob Marley and reggae it seems. While most grandmas would avoid the topic of illegal substances and expect that their darling boys not involve themselves with this type of activity, this grandma has come to terms with the reality of life, much to her grandson’s delight.
The Oversized Look
Felipe’s grandma was tired of her grandson’s underwear constantly being on show. “We don’t need to see your Calvin Kleins,” she would tell him. So to fix the problem, his grandma fixed Felipe’s belt which had been broken for years.

Unable to find a standard buckle, she instead saw one that she figured fit in with the current trend of the year. Oversized watches and sunglasses seemed to be a thing, so belt buckles must be too, right?
My Grandson’s A Gamer
Whether you work with computers and technology or just love it as a hobby, to the elderly it is as though we are Harvard educated if we are able to turn on a television without messing up the channels.

So this grandma wanted to tell the world how proud she is that her grandson is a computer game programmer (not that she completely understood what it meant). As a Christmas treat, she did her research and bought him this game, thinking she had nailed it!
40 People Who Took Their Requests Just a Little Too Literally
We’ve all had someone ask us to do something that, when taken literally, turns into something completely different. Thankfully, there are those who don’t take things too seriously. These are the people who took requests to their most literal extreme possible.
Susan, You Look Nice But…
Apparently, when reporting a damaged vehicle it didn’t occur to Susan that the insurance company might want to see the car in question before shelling out money to repair it. As can be seen in the photo, it was weird but hopefully, it worked?

Okay Then, Here’s Your Sign
Most coffee shops take pride in having fun and colorful signs in front of them. They’re a symbol of a coffee shop’s personality, and a great tool for advertising and bringing people into a communal space where they can sit, catch up, or work. All with the aromas of delicious coffees wafting around them. Well at this coffee shop things are a bit different. Rather than go all out on a sign this person had a different idea.

When Sharing Is Definitely Caring
Sibling rivalry is always fun to watch from the outside. But when it’s you and your sibling fighting over the remote, or clothing, or, as is the case here, food, then things aren’t always quite so side-splittingly hilarious. So when @Jaaaaaymomma posted this photo, there’s no doubt that many of us could relate. After telling her brother that he could eat half of the grapes he decided to take things literally. But it’s not like he didn’t obey her.

Getting Trolled by a Barista
There’s always something fun about going to a coffee shop and seeing how a barista will spell your name. It’s not their fault if they don’t know that your name has two “l’s” or an “i” instead of a “y.” For some people, this mistake is unforgivable, and they would rather spell their name out for their barista rather than risk leaving it to their discretion. Well, as is the case here, the barista decided to instead troll her meticulous customer.

Just a Game of Spoons
Here’s a funny and true story that happened to the cereal giant that pretty much everybody loves, Kellogg’s. They had placed an order for 200 spoons with an engraving. When asked what the company would like the engraving to say they replied with, “Just the Kellogg logo.” Apparently this answer was a bit too vague, and a few weeks later the company got their promotional spoons with “just the Kellogg logo” written across the handle next to the actual logo.

Well if the Sign Says
Most of us have seen a “watch your step” sign without thinking too much about it. But not this guy here, who took a moment to realize that “watch step” could mean several things if you had never heard anyone say that before. In spite of coming home after a long day, he chose to stop and demonstrate just how strange it is that we casually use the word “watch” to mean “please be careful of.” English, are we right?

And Just Like That, Done
We’ve all had those teachers for whom nothing was straightforward. Remember those teachers who would write a really long paragraph of instructions only to finish it with “now that you’ve gotten to the end of the instructions please do not continue and just turn in the test to the teacher without saying a word.” While the lesson there was to always read instructions, for some students it just meant that everything could be a test, including this 80-100 word question.

A Brand New Credit Card
A lot of people enjoy having their photos on their credit cards. It’s a great anti-theft and anti-identity stealing device and as a result, a lot of banks have been issuing them lately. So when this girl’s dad switched banks and they asked him if he wanted to have another card with his photo on it, he quickly agreed. Little did he know that the photo for Wells Fargo was going to be just a little bit different.

Again, it’s the Sign Saying
This girl was on the way to school when she noticed a sign telling her to wait while the light was red. Not wanting to break any laws, and wanting to be a good citizen, she waited on the off chance that the sign was related to her walking on the sidewalk. Of course, this driver knew better, and couldn’t help taking a picture of the confused girl who, when told to stop by a sign, agreed to do so.

It’s Definitely a Distinct Possibility
When psychologist Sandi Mann was invited to speak at a conference she was delighted to go. Sandi Mann is a distinguished and impressive psychologist and had two universities that she was affiliated with. So when the conference asked her which of them she would like to appear on her name tag she had to think about it for a second, not wanting to be perceived as playing favorites. So she said, “Probably University of Central Lancashire,” and she got it.

Not the Photo We Wanted
We don’t know how this person misunderstood the question, but somehow they got it completely wrong. When one person came across an advertisement for a Mercedes, they couldn’t resist and decided to investigate further. After contacting the owner of the vehicle they found out that he was indeed still selling. After which they asked him for a photo which he sent, just not one of the car. Not quite sure what he meant by sending a photo of his face.

Married to a Proud Venezuelan
This interaction was between a man, whose first language is English, and his wife who was originally from Venezuela. Clearly the two are comfortable enough with each other that they don’t mind laughing at each other’s different cultural tendencies. But what’s also clear is that the two of them aren’t about to take each other’s sass unanswered. When this guy sarcastically told his wife that in America that laughed with an “h” she decided to turn the sass to 1000.

You Waited Way Too Long
Clearly David was having not the best day of his life when he was serving Zack at Wendy’s. After Zack decided to order his medium combo and dine in, David needed to know what his name was. Pretty standard procedure for anyone who’s sitting in a fast-food restaurant to eat. Apparently Zack wasn’t ready for that question though and took a second to process it before answering. That hesitation wasn’t lost on David, who wrote it on the receipt.

A Poorly Worded History Test
So this question is about the musical composer Bach who lived during the Baroque Era, a time that was extremely important for European classical symphonic orchestras. So obviously there were certain types of music in that era that he was not responsible for composing. Even so, this question is very bizarrely worded. The student wasn’t technically wrong when he responded with genres like jazz and hip-hop, and even the teacher gave him a point and wrote “touche.”

A Great Trip Through Europe
There’s nothing more exciting than taking a trip through Europe and most people only dream of it. The only problem with it is that it’s expensive and for those of us who work regular jobs it’s hard to find the time off to go. But this gentleman wasn’t about to let his girlfriend miss out on a trip through that amazing continent. But why spend money on that plane ticket when you have so many European cities in your backyard? Amazingly, this guy managed to hit six countries in an 11-hour drive!

Oh, Nothing for Dessert Please
On the Disney cruise, you’re meant to be guaranteed a good time no matter what. That means that you paid good money for a ticket on a cruise around the world, so leave your diet at home! After this person was asked what they wanted for dessert, they simply replied with, “nothing.” The chef on the ship wasn’t about to let this person get away without a delicious treat, and gave them exactly the dessert dish that they asked for.

How About a Frozen Banana?
When this man’s wife went to the grocery store, he asked her if she wouldn’t mind picking up some frozen fruit for the two of them as well. It was hot out, and who doesn’t enjoy a nice homemade smoothie during those unbearably hot summer days? Well for her, getting some “frozen” fruit had different connotations. As can be clearly seen here, the fruit wasn’t frozen, per se, but it was promoting a beloved animated Disney film you might know.

An Accurate Paper on History
When this student’s history professor asked for a paper to be written on a historical figure from their perspective and to make it as “accurate as possible,” he didn’t realize just what kind of results he’d get. It turned out that this student happened to know how to speak Mandarin and, after picking Sun Tzu to be their historical figure, realized that if Sun Tzu was going to be writing about himself it would be in Mandarin.

Toilet Paper Under the Sink
Oh, how simple requests can result in such strange actions, especially when those requests are directed at children. When this mother of two asked her three and four-year-old children to put the toilet paper under the sink this wasn’t what she was expecting. Clearly the two children are still new to the world, and the concept of under the sink doesn’t mean in the drawers underneath the sink. Still, this one is more adorable and much less sarcastic.

What is This Plant’s Name?
This avid botanist happened to discover this shrub growing in his backyard and couldn’t figure out what it was. So he turned to where most of us turn for answers: the internet! It’s an amazing place full of (usually) helpful people and honestly, was this time really any different? When looking for the name of the plant one helpful internet user decided to take it upon herself to name the plant George. Thankfully, the poster has a sense of humor.

Please Post Some No Fliers
Some people just can’t help themselves when being told not to do something. There are just the rebels and anarchists among us for whom everything is an opportunity to push the boundaries and bend the rules. So when a notice was posted telling people to “post no flyers,” this person went ahead and posted photos of birds who can’t fly. Quite honestly, there was some effort put into making this poster so they wouldn’t take it down.

A Few Underwear Pictures
With phones being a near-universal accessory that most people have, there’s been another trend that has accompanied them. The sending of suggestive photos between people dating or even married. But of course after more than a few years of being together, sometimes it’s good to mix things up. Of course, putting the dog in her underwear may not have been what this husband was expecting when he asked his wife for a photo of underwear, but it is definitely adorable!

Give That Answer Some Motivation
We can’t remember ever having a test with a question on it such as “motivate your answer.” So it’s not surprising that this student couldn’t help themselves with this sarcastic and sassy answer. Rather than waste everyone’s time with a long and boring supportive answer, this student decided that it would be a much better use of his or her time to motivate the answer in a more traditional way. Hopefully, this student’s teacher decided that it was still worth a point.

Just Leaning Against the Pole
It’s a nice walkway through a forest, and with the trees leaning in to create an arch it does seem like a great place to take a photo. Clearly, this father thought so and wanted his daughter to pose for a second so he could memorialize this hike with his daughter. After asking her to lean against the pole next to the walkway his daughter decided to comply. Only not in the way that the girl’s father was likely expecting.

The Perfect Door for Privacy
For the most part, men aren’t quite as concerned about privacy as women. Don’t believe us? How many men have reacted with outrage when they see a woman using the men’s bathroom? Maybe it’s happened before but usually, it’s no big deal. That being said there are plenty of men out there who wouldn’t mind a little extra privacy. So when this gym was asked to put up a door to the men’s locker room they sort of dropped the ball.

You Want Sauce With That?
There’s nothing worse than going to Taco Bell, or any fast food restaurant for that matter, and asking for sauce and not getting enough. Clearly, fast-food chains are aware of that it seems that half of our bags are filled to the brim with those hard-to-open sauce packets. But none of them can hold a candle to this particular Taco Bell chain that had no problem giving this woman all the hot sauce she needed.

Pillowcases on the Pillows Please
There’s an old joke about how men work hard to be lazy, often finding ways to screw up simple tasks so that they won’t be asked to do any more chores. While some jokes are just that, jokes, and not meant to be taken seriously – sometimes they’re based on reality as well. After the wife in this house asked her husband to put the pillowcases on the pillows he took her request literally. We don’t know if they’re still married.

A Little Extra Frosting Please
Here’s a photo that asks the question: what’s better? Too much of something, or too little of the same thing? We’ll let you decide but what happened in this photo was the following: After this woman’s husband went to Hardees to get his favorite cinnamon biscuit he made sure to ask the workers there to put a little extra frosting on. Apparently they took the phrase, “a little extra” a bit too liberally and he ended up with this particular monstrosity. However, since frosting is so delicious, we doubt anyone was left complaining…

Enough Signs for You?
We’ve all been there, or maybe some of us are there right now, working a job with a boss whose super nit-picky and a little too detail-oriented. Well, this gas station manager decided that their employees weren’t putting up enough wet floor signs and made sure that their displeasure was noted. So what happened as a result? Well, the employee decided that they were going to make sure their boss was never unhappy about that kind of thing again.

Best Signs of Any Store
At this store, they’re all about customer service! Making sure to give you the best prices of the biggest varieties of all your favorite items! Oh, and did we not mention the best part? This hilarious sign gag will always leave you walking in and out with a smile, and it changes on a daily basis as well. Go outside to see what they have today – oh are you kidding us? Where the heck is Marcus? Marcus! Marcus! MARCUS!

Gotta Capture Those Precious Moments
When this woman decided to visit the beautiful country of Spain she knew she was in for a real treat. All the food, beauty, history, and friendly people that she would no doubt meet, all of whom would make this trip an incredible experience. So of course she had to document her journey as well. The only problem with that? Her brother was the one taking the photos. As can be seen here, he doesn’t have much patience for photography.

Not the Present She Wanted
When Maddi’s birthday came around she knew exactly what she wanted to make the day as special as possible. Rather than ask for some object that she might accidentally break or lose she wanted something that would always be there and really bring joy to her life. She wanted an actual golden retriever, the happy dogs that make it impossible not to smile. Sadly for poor Maddi, her boyfriend wasn’t on board and got her a slightly different golden retriever.

Another Sour Cream and Onion
It’s great having a helpful family member who’s happy to pick up some snacks whenever they make a grocery store run. When this man uploaded this photo he posted it with the following caption: “My wife’s grandma likes to buy us snacks whenever she goes to the store, so we asked her for some sour cream and onion chips.” We were amused by what she came back with. Clearly, grandma has a lot to learn about sour cream and onion.

Is This What You Wanted?
On another trip to Wendy’s, two friends were arguing what they wanted. One friend had a particular order that they liked. A small frosty, but not in the small frosty cup. Rather, they preferred to have a little extra room by having the small frosty poured into the medium frosty cup. Sound confusing? Maybe not to you but certainly to whoever took their order that day. Maybe the drive-through mic wasn’t working which caused him to give them this.

Deserving of Extra Credit
This photo was posted by a teacher who wrote in the caption, “I told my students to include the word count in your essays.” Now, most of us who had teachers like this who gave us a word count requirement in high school are no doubt rolling our eyes, thinking back to those days where most of our essays were just filler words. This student took things a step further, literally numbering every word he put in his English class essay.

No, it’s Definitely a 3DS
For those who don’t know, a 3DS is a handheld gaming system developed by Nintendo and has games that have sold over tens of millions of copies. The console allows for some 3D display without the use of 3D glasses, thus why it is called the 3DS. So when Christmas came rolling around yet again, this couple’s son knew exactly what he wanted. Apparently he had been on Santa’s naughty list though because this is the only 3DS he got.

I’ll Have Mayo With That
It’s difficult to say for sure from which fast-food chain this is from, but whichever one it is, we sure don’t want to eat there. According to this post, when two friends went to order, the first ordered a standard hamburger while the second asked for a chicken burger with mayo on the top and the bottom. Well, whoever was working behind the counter that night decided to put the mayo on top, but not exactly as was requested.

This Kid Is a Genius
This is one of those questions that schools love giving kids on their tests. It’s a basic math question but also teaches children about money and how to decipher between which coins are worth more. But, as with all math questions, most teachers demand that children show their work, which as many of us know can be annoying and tedious. So rather than spend all that time showing the math, this kid decided to show his thinking much more creatively.

Happy Wife, Happy Life
The longer our relationships last, the more it seems that our partners can find ways to cut corners. Many couples tend to split responsibilities, with one person cooking and the other cleaning, for example. However, it appears that this husband is only prepared to follow specific instructions, without actually willing to go above and beyond. Like this situation, when he did exactly what his wife asked him to do. It was probably implied though that he should also wash the dishes…

She Decided to Cover Up
Even in this day and age some people still have a big problem with seeing a woman breastfeeding in public. So when asked to cover up this woman decided to oblige, but not in the way that other people might have been expecting. Instead of covering up her hungry baby, this woman threw a blanket over her own head, no doubt causing a laugh at her own table while shaming whoever yelled at her to cover up while she’s breastfeeding.
